General Manager Li Xiangming was once sent by the Ministry of Machinery and Electronics to study in Japanese companies

I have been trained and inspected at the world-renowned Seiko Corporation of Japan. During this period, I not only visited Seiko's Saitama, Head Office, Maebashi, Fujisawa and other factories, the Automobile Bearing Technology Center and Seiko's cooperative factories Fujido, Toho Co., Ltd. and Isuzu Motors, but also had the opportunity to conduct a 6-week on-site training at Seiko's Ishibe Factory, which represents the new level of world automobile bearing manufacturing. This gave me a deeper understanding of all aspects of Nippon Seiko Co., Ltd., a world-leading bearing company. The company has only 991 employees, produces 100 million sets of automobile bearings annually, with an output value of 50 billion yen. The products of the Ishibe factory account for 40% of the market share of 15 automobile manufacturers in Japan. Through the investigation, I learned that each Japanese company has its own characteristics and styles, goals and slogans, but they all have many common mature experiences and management methods, which are worth learning from.

Type construction and type selection

1) Machinery has various working conditions. In order to meet these specific use requirements, different types of bearings are needed to ensure actual needs. According to the shape of the rolling element, rolling bearings can be roughly divided into ball bearings and roller bearings; according to the main direction of the load, they can be divided into radial bearings and thrust bearings. Table 1 is a comparison of the general characteristics of ball bearings and roller bearings. Table 1 Comparison of general characteristics of ball bearings and roller bearings According to the national standard GB/T272-93, the commonly used types of rolling bearings can be found in the database.

Rolling bearing damage

When disassembling and inspecting rolling bearings, the failure and cause of bearing damage can be determined based on the bearing damage. 1. Metal peeling on the raceway surface The rolling elements and the inner and outer ring raceways of the bearings are subjected to periodic pulsating loads, which generates periodic contact stress. When the number of stress cycles reaches a certain value, fatigue peeling occurs on the rolling elements or the inner and outer ring raceway working surfaces. If the load on the bearing is too large, this fatigue will be aggravated. In addition, improper installation of the bearing and bending of the shaft will also cause raceway peeling. Fatigue peeling of the bearing raceway will reduce the running accuracy of the shaft and cause vibration and noise in the mechanism.

Bearing inspection and troubleshooting during operation

The inspection items during operation include the rolling sound, vibration, temperature, lubrication status of the bearing, etc. The specific conditions are as follows: 1. Rolling sound of the bearing Use a sound meter to check the size and sound quality of the rolling sound of the running bearing. Even if the bearing has slight damage such as peeling, it will emit abnormal and irregular sounds, which can be distinguished by a sound meter.

Selection of rolling bearing oil

The lubricating oil of the main shaft bearing using rolling bearings is generally considered comprehensively according to the product of the bearing inner diameter d and the main shaft speed n, that is, the speed factor dn, the bearing operating temperature T, the load P borne by the bearing and other parameters. The following is the selection of recommended lubricating oil grades for rolling bearings. The types of lubricating oil can be selected from FC or FD bearing oil, HL hydraulic oil, TSA turbine oil, DAD compressor oil, gasoline engine oil or cylinder oil, etc., depending on the product type, working conditions and viscosity grade
